Di & P's Personal Commitment to the Environment
According to ICLEI- Local Governments for Sustainability, a “sustainable event is one that is designed, organized and mounted in accordance with the principles of sustainability, focusing especially on environmental, health and social issues, with the aim of reducing the consumption of natural resources , reduce consumption to a minimum and protect biodiversity and human health ”.
According to the Brundtland Report (Our Common Future, 1987) the term sustainable development is defined as “that development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the needs of future generations”. Under this premise, at DI&P we carry out all projects applying ecodesign criteria, ecological design, through a series of actions.
01
RECYCLED MATERIALS
We use recycled or recyclable materials in the design (woods with FSC certificates, bioplastics, ...).
02
DESIGN OF STRUCTURES
We design thinking about reusable structures and furniture, minimizing weight and thinking about the space they require for transport and storage, optimizing assembly and disassembly times.
03
TOXIC MATERIALS
We avoid the use of toxic or dangerous materials (varnishes, solvents, cleaning products, ...)
04
CRITERIA
Consideration of social and environmental criteria in the organization of congresses.
05
DURABILITY AND REUSE
The main objective of ecodesign is to promote the durability and reuse of the materials that make up the stands. When recycling is not possible, we try to minimize the amount of waste or seek compensatory measures.
06
LOCATION AND WASTE
The location of our offices favors the use of the bike lane.
Stands waste management fee paid by the supplier.
07
FORESTATION OF TREES
Every year a percentage of the benefit from recycling materials is allocated to increasing the afforestation of trees in the mountains of Madrid.
